If there is any interest I'll document my track build here.
I'm a newby and thus will be my first build but I have read a lot and watched many YouTube videos. The plan is a single lane track I don't have a huge amount of space but the intention is just to run some cars round.
My board will be L shaped and go under my model rail layout I have a roughly 8' x 9' of wall space and can go around 2' deep i do have some sketches and ideas for track plans but no fixed idea of theme/setting yet.
I'm gradually gathering bits and bobs together and so far have the router bits and braid I already have a suitable PSU ordered the double sided tape for the braid which turns out is twice as expensive as the braid!.
I was going to fetch the mdf but whilst on holiday in france last week my car decided to blow its turbo so its stranded there for a few weeks!!.
So if anyone wants to follow my trials and tribulations I'll continue posting.
I have some small scrap mdf pieces to practice on to get me started.

Good afternoon,
so here we are with the 15th proxy since 2021 that I have organised.
KEY DATES
Registration Forms Completed by 1st April
Cars to be delivered by 1st April
Proxy Start Day 1st May
As this is a "Challenge" proxy I wanted to do something different from the last Touring Car proxy.
so the 3 events can be viewed as:
Event 1 Small Touring car Saloons, mostly of the earlier period.
Intentionally intended for the smaller Mini like or equivalent size cars, I based the Max wheel width of 52mm based on my standard size Slot it Datsun 510. Inludes Revoslots (see awards section) or scratch-build metal chassis.
Event 2 Inspired by a Slot club series on BTCC "Super Touring cars of the 90's" I have expanded this to include more recent Scalextric Touring cars as well a few alternative home brands of a similar in line motor configuration and similar body weight and width. No lightweight bodies permitted, and all must use a S-Can motor. As many of the models are not normally slot car Favourites this should be an interesting Challenge. Includes some narrower Bathhurst 1000 models.
Event 3 Can be seen as a "American Muscle versus European wide saloon cars", which were mostly over 3 litres.
Also some of the similar Bathurst 1000 bigger cars as well for good measure. Any motor orientation allowed and a some long can motors included the motor list.
General
Motor list - Motors are resticted to those with a low "magnetic traction" as we will be using a few plastic with metal contact rail tracks. The Max 21 rpm has been restricted to limit the motor power of these saloon cars across all 3 Events.
Metal chassis Revoslots & scratch build metal chassis permitted only in Event 1.
Lexan lightweigh plastic interiors are permitted across all 3 Events.
Only Rubber tyres permitted.
Final Technical Rules
Awards
These will be finalised once we know what the entry list is looking like, but obviously the leading cars with the most points at the end of the series of each Event will be the winners. Possibly there might be secondary winners of a Revoslot and Mini Class in Event 1 if there is clearly a good representation of such cars entered, otherwise it will be winners and runners up competition.
There is no guarantee of sponsorship awards at this stage.
Entry cost
Initial car entry £20, additional cars £5 each (max 3 cars) You are permitted to enter 2 cars of different construction in Event 1 (ie Revoslot and another ) others may be considered like a Mini type + ....
Overseas entries - car postage cost above the regular UK national level will be charged when the cars are prepared for return.
Car liability
Every effort is made to transport these cars in a responsible safe manner inside the packaging for transportation to and from the hosts around the country. And additionally there is a responsibility of care by the hosts to run & race these cars in a manner which minimalises damage caused by collisions with other cars or other parts off the track.
However any damage caused must be reported should it occur so as to infom the entrant of issues. However hosts and the Administrator (me) cannot be held directly responsible if such damage occurs. Entrants enter their cars at their own risk.
Provisional Entry List
If you’re interested on entering this proxy please post on here, or message / email me in order to be listed please.

I thought I would create a thread for those of us interested in off-road tracks of the Paris/Dakar type.
I have been smitten by this genre of the hobby and have been slowly building up my collection of SCX/Scalextric track pieces that seem to date from around the mid-noughties. Not wishing to miss an opportunity on a recent holiday in Spain, I picked up this beauty from a hobby shop i had read about...
...which, when added to this recent auction find...
...means that my original collection of track pieces can expand to something more challenging than this practice layout...
There is a loose plan to set up a demo track at a Worthing club event at some point in the future. Hopefully we can encourage a continued interest in this branch of slot racing here in the UK.
Hello, I am new to the sport and am assembling a Slot It white kit that does not come with instructions on powertrain and chassis build.
I have tried web searches and found nothing.
Does anyone have or can provide at least an exploded view or instructions to assemble the engine/gears/suspension for Slot.it SICA17-EC13 Porsche 962?
Attached is a picture of the parts, and I was able to find information on the body that I completed and painted.
Our web hosting company is moving this site over to new servers on Friday 19th September.
They claim that the process will be quick, and trouble free and that the site will only be down for around five minutes.
I obviously hope they are right, but if you do experience any problems accessing the site on Friday, rest assured it will be getting dealt with.
I had to laugh. I seen elsewhere on the internet a topic “Why is digital such a hard sell?” as if it is.
I got on the phone immediately with my mate and biggest slot shop in Australia, Mr Slotcar, and and asked him what did he sell more of? Analogue or Digital box sets? He answered digital before I had even finished asking the question. I then asked another retailer. Same answer.
So in less than 20 years digital is the biggest selling platform out of the two. I must say that makes me very happy.
So perhaps the question could be “Why are analogue sales declining?”.
I know why.
Hello,
I’m currently building a white kit Slot.it 962C (Slot.it SICA17-EC13 Porsche 962 KH 2013 Euro Championship White Kit), but unfortunately, it didn’t come with any directions. I was able to find instructions online for assembling the body, but I’m stuck on the engine and chassis.
In particular, I need help with wiring basics—like which wires are positive and negative from the motor to the guide up front—so the car doesn’t run backwards. (I don’t own a track at home, I just bring the car to events.)
I’ve searched online but haven’t been able to find any build guides specific to the chassis/engine setup, especially for the Slot.it anglewinder motor configuration.
Any guidance or links to detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
The fourth running of our WHO Goodwood Revival takes place on Saturday. This is a full-on tribute to the active years of the Goodwood motor circuit between 1948 & 1966, plus the Revival festival that has been held since 1998.
We use Scalextric Sport Digital and RCS64 software to recreate many of the classes and formats seen over the weekend at RAF Westhampnett - including the weather!
Here is the schedule for this year's event:
- 10.00 - Free practice
- 10.30 - RAC TT Celebration: Pairs race with driver change - featuring front-motored RTR models of 1959-64 closed-cockpit GT cars
- 11.30 - St Mary’s Trophy Parts 1 & 2: Two-part pairs race - featuring RTR, kits & scratch-built hard top saloon cars of 1948-1966.
- 12.30 - Lunch, free practice & concours d’élégance
- 13.00 - Kinrara Trophy: 45-minute team race - featuring RTR, kits & 3D chassied models of 1959-64 closed-cockpit GT cars
- 14.00 - Richmond Trophy: Individual race - featuring RTR models & kits of front-engined 2.5-litre Grand Prix cars 1948-1960
- 14.45 - Sussex Trophy: Individual race - featuring RTR models & kits of 1950-59 World Championship sports cars
- 15.30 - Whitsun Trophy: Individual race - featuring RTR models & kits of Sports Prototype and Can-Am cars to 1966
There's a pdf brochure with all the formats and build regs here: https://slotracer.online/community/showt...9#pid44699
The WHO Goodwood Revival is one of our premium events, meaning it is not suitable for beginners. Racers should have at least one Nascar & Legends night under their belts and feel confident with digital racing and the RCS64 software. The morning and early afternoon features pairs and team races, with the day wrapping up with three individual races - some loaners are usually available for the Whitsun Trophy.
Here are some video highlights from last year's event...
1940s, 50s & 60s dress is optional, but encouraged!
