Feature

Lamborghini, the legend!

  • This week we feature an Italian company that has a legitimate claim to making the first ever mid engined supercar, the Miura. Lamborghini have always eschewed the grace and elegance that Ferrari have aimed for, and have instead produced some of the hairiest, lariest, scariest monsters available in the automotive world.
    • Racer Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Attempto Racing I’m a big fan of the Sideways Lamborghini – it looks fabulous and is great fun to drive. The real-life Huracán GT3 has been an important part of the international GT scene since its introduction in 2015. Developed alongside Dallara, the GT3 is powered by a 5.2-litre normally-aspirated V10 which sounds utterly sublime.
    • Scale Drawings Scale drawings of the Lamborghini 350GT, and the Miura, for the scratch builder perhaps?
    • Carrera Lamborghini A brace of Lamborghini Huracán emergency vehicles. The first is a police car, the second is a race safety car.
    • Lamborghini Countach The newly released Countach from Scalextric
    • Lambos at Pendles Lamborghini slot cars from Scalextric, Carrera and Racer Sideways at Pendle Slot Racing.
    • 350 GT Meets Aventador Ultimae Petrolicious takes a look at two full sized Lamborghinis, the first and the last models to be powered by V12 engines. Gorgeous photos from the streets of Modena.
    • Design your own Lamborghini Create your own Lamborghini, choose your colours and options, and get your own personalised brochure. Well we can dream, can’t we?

Livery of the weekend – Super GT300 Motegi

Honda NSX GT3 at Motegi

There just aren’t enough slot car liveries from Japanese GT racing. This GT300 Honda NSX would fit the new Scaleauto and Sideways Acura GT3 models perfectly. Hideki Mutoh and Iori Kimura took the ARTA NSX to victory at Motegi on Sunday.

  • Nascar Championship Four The climax of the 2022 Nascar season came down to a four-way fight for the championship at Phoenix. It was always going to be a nail-biting finale – and you can watch extended highlights on the Nascar YouTube Channel.
  • Super GT – Twin Ring Motegi Both the GT500 and GT300 championships were decided at Motegi on Sunday. You can watch highlights of both races, plus loads of post-race features – all in Japanese – on the Super GT YouTube Channel.
  • Lamborghini Super Trofeo at Portimão Single-make GT racing is as popular as ever. Lamborghini followed Ferrari in hosting an end-of-season world finals this weekend, with plenty of action over four days. You can watch re-runs of all the races on the Lamborghini Squadra Corse YouTube Channel.
  • Truck Racing at Brands Hatch A traditional November date for the Trucks saw monstrous conditions at Brands Hatch. How did the five-ton, 1000 bhp behemoths cope with a sodden Indy circuit? You can re-watch coverage of both Saturday and Sunday’s action on the BARC YouTube Channel.
