This week we have news of the Bauer NSU TT, Slot.it Nissan, and TeamSlot Renault. We also have a superb scratchbuilt midget, a Tojeiro Jaguar, a Carrera BMW, and some interesting scenic items, and of course we’ll have full coverage of the Scalextric range launch, and all the latest events.

Slot Cars

• 2023 Scalextric Range Launch The big question this week is what have Scalextric got in store for us in 2023? The Scalextric team have kindly talked Woodcote through their new products, offering information and answering questions that will be of particular interest to racers, as well as collectors. Check out the thread for all of the details.

• B4Slot Bauer NSU TT Motodrom, who produce some fantastic HO scale Bauer cars, have announced a change of name to B4Slot, and an addition to the team in Philipp Säuberlich, with a view to ensure a future succession. They have also announced a new NSU TT, a new Alfa Romeo 2000GTV, and a new ultra-low chassis. These are expected sometime this month.

• Slot.it Nissan R89C Slot.it have announced a new Nissan R89C, the car driven by Julian Bailey, Mark Blundell and Martin Donnelly at Le Mans in 1989. The car is expected in the third quarter of 2023.

• TeamSlot Renault 5 Turbo Staffs Slot Cars UK have announced that their exclusive, limited edition TeamSlot Renault 5 Turbo has finally landed. Limited to 50 units only to commemorate 50th Year of the Renault 5.

Building & Painting

• Ryan Stone TQ Memorial Build Tibbs has done some fabulously detailed work on his TQ midget build. With a Suzuki 750cc motor bike engine, the model is replica of the car his late friend Ryan Stone built and used to race.

• Racing Replicas Tojeiro Jaguar Pete Shepherd has posted his Tojeiro Jaguar build over on the SlotRacer facebook group. Based on the car driven by Ron Flockhart and John ‘Jock’ Lawrence at the 1959 Le Mans, the model is based on a modified MMK kit.

• Carrera BMW 3.5 CSL The latest car to get that weathered, last lap of the race look from Reeves, is this Carrera BMW 3.5 CSL.
