Let’s take a quick look at this week’s slot car news
This week we have three new Alfas, three new Opels, a Lotus Elite, a Renault van, a Porsche, a Ford and a Toyota, plus a fantastic track, and all the latest events, videos and podcasts.
Slot Cars
- Racing Replicas Lotus Elite Pete Shepherd has finished building this lovely model of an ex Peter Arundell Lotus Elite. The shell is a John Warren resin which is an improved version of the Super Shells body.
- Renault 4 Furgoneta Hobbyclassic have released a new limited edition model. The Renault 4F Holiday Service Van is limited to 50 units.
- Avant Slot Opel Manta Avant Slot have posted pre-production photos of the next three liveries of their Opel Manta. The cars are those of Salvador Serviá, of Rally Catalunya and Monte Carlo from 1984, as well as the version of McRae on a Costa Blanca of the same year.
- Slot.it Porsche & Ford The two Slot.it Le Mans cars which we reported a while back will be shipping to dealers soon. The Porsche 962C from 1991, and The Ford MkII from 1966 will be available from May 5th.
- Slot.it Toyota 86C Slot.it have announced a new livery for their Group C Toyota 86C. The model represents the car driven by Kenny Acheson, and Michael Roe in the 1987 Fuji 1000 km. Expected at the end of the year.
- Revoslot Alfa Romeo GTA Revoslot have unveiled photos of three new liveries for the Alfa Romeo GTA. From left to right, these are Horst Kwech’s 1971 Trans Am car, Tort Holmström’s 1971 Brno GP car, and the Simonis/Goris car from the 1971 24h of Spa.
Tracks & Scenery
- Another Toronto Track Doug’s Toronto track is big, really big. It’s a three lane routed layout with a gloss laminate finish for better grip, and the figure of eight design gives equal lane lengths of 91 feet.
