Race Track Lab

Published by JasonB on Apr 26, 2026

Race Track Lab is a free browser based slot track designer.

Being web based, Race Track Lab requires no download or installation, and can be used on any device; desktop, laptop, tablet or phone. It supports Scalextric (SCX), Ninco, Carrera, Policar, and Scaleauto tracks, with Scalextric (UK), 1/43, and HO to come.

The system provides real-scale measurements, multi-lane layouts, inventory management and a community circuit library.

I’ve checked out Race Track Lab myself, and it seems well designed, intuitive, and simple to use.

Sometimes there are deeply held personal grudges to settle at the highest level of motorsports. This is the story of one such occasion, when a grudge match entwined with a fight between two famous companies and two nations to light up the 1960s. We have the full story of the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours, and we also have a large Ninco track plan of La Sarthe.

1983 was the height of Porsche's powers at La Sarthe, Porsches dominated the entry list for Group C and would dominate the race. Three Rothmans-sponsored works 956s were entered and they were the fastest of the bunch. However, the lead works car of Mass, Bellof and Barth was already ailing when its engine blew in the 22nd hour. That left the sister cars of Holbert-Haywood-Schuppan and Ickx-Bell out front. Both cars had been in the wars but Holbert managed to drag the #3 Porsche limping over the line to win.
