Super Shells

A 60’s relic that still survives today

A bit of an oddball in the history of slot cars this one, it is debatable whether their products were ever intended to be fitted with a motor and guide in the first place as they were initially produced as static kits with a very simple non-motorised plastic chassis.

As time passed they jumped on the slot car bandwagon and conversion chassis/motors joined the range but they were never easy to assemble and it required a fair bit of modelling skill to produce a useable slot car. Most of the cars needed some sort of homemade chassis attachment system since few of the bodies had any fixing provision. No decals were provided with the cars either.
