Show us your repaints
#1

I'm slowly working my way through all the content here.  Already I have seen plenty of posts with stuff in that's of interest to me - to a greater or lesser extent.

One type of thread I have yet to come across is showing-off your latest repaints.  Is it just that I haven't come across any yet, or isn't anyone bothered, or is there some other reason?

Now that I'm retired, I have quite a number of slot car projects (as well as household DIY..........) I need to catch-up on.  I'd like to be able to share images with you all, continuing from where I left off on SFI.  I wouldn't want to re-post the stuff I posted there, but if anyone hasn't seen those and is interested, drop me a PM and I will reply with a link - if I can find it since I deleted all my SFI links.

I don't seek validation or praise, just like to share the fruits of my very slow labours.

Best regards,
Stuart.

Hi Stu,

Post anything you feel like. Treat this as a new forum. There's always someone that never saw your pics before.

It's hard to find specific posts about just repaints. I don't know of a specific thread like that. But you can create a thread and start the ball rolling. I might even be able to add a pic or two from some of my crappy old threads.

1/32 scale.

As this seems to have some legs I have moved it to a more appropriate place, renamed and pinned it. Hope this is OK Stuart?

Absolutely fine, Brian.  Thank you.   Thumbup

I hope to be able to start adding my own contributions in the next few weeks.  I just need to get the decal sheet finalised and e-mailed to Colin for printing.

Best regards,
Stuart.

Does “unpainting” count? This Spirit Porsche 936 body came to me as the #12 car. I was putting together the group of 3 Le Mans winning 936’s and dreading a strip and repaint & new decals when I noticed something odd about the roundel and number. A little elbow grease later #11 emerged with the proper drivers.

P.S. Sorry about the attachment. I don’t know how to remove it.

A standard NSR white club car generic F1 given slight body mod and some new paint to add some Italian spice to the grid.
