If you're getting into the oXigen system, either as a host/track-owner, or as a racer, and can't work an SCP3 into your budget yet, or supply SCP3 controllers for every guest at your track, you can save quite a bit by using ARC Air/Pro controllers instead. In this video, I show you how to install the firmware, and how to pair to oXigen chipped cars.

Without displays on the controller, this process is akin Navigating the crystal maze in the pitch-black on Roller Blades
However, at six ARC controllers for the price of one SCP , this is clearly a worthwhile option for setting up an Oxigen track on a budget and Greg describes the process clearly.

Yeah, no display and no dials does present a challenge. I think slot.it did a great job, all considered, and once you've actually done it a couple times, it's not hard to remember. I keep forgetting the DFU sequence, but as that only ever needs doing once per controller (unless you're a nutter like me, who's always switching back and forth for one reason or another), that's no big deal.
