The wait is over - the new Pioneer Legends Racers are here!
The Pioneer Legends are based on 1934 Ford Coupe Hot Rods in a style that is raced around the world in Legends racing series. The real-life cars are 5/8 scale reproductions and the Pioneer cars work out around 1/30 scale. Whatever... they look fabulous and promise to be enormous fun on track.
The first two releases are:
PO63 Pioneer Legends Racer '34 Ford Coupe Blue #22
PO81 Pioneer Legends Racer '34 Ford Coupe Pearl White #30
Both are available to buy now at Inaslot, priced £41.95. The cars will be with other dealers very soon and can be pre-ordered. You can view more pictures here:
www.inaslot.com/latest-releases
The Pioneer Legends models feature:
- 18K Typhoon motor, sidewinder configuration
- Detailed Race interior
- QuickChange braids
- Scalextric Digital DPR ready
- ‘PurePower’ wiring loom
- ‘Supathane’ tyres
- Display case and custom artwork packaging.
- Spare parts bag included under base.
For digital racers, the DPR hatch means the easily installation of the C8515 digital plug for running on Scalextric Sport Digital - or the Carson chip to run on Carrera Digital132. The Slot.it oXigen Type C chip and new Scorpius chip will also fit on to their own versions of the DPR hatch.

Thanks for posting the news, Andy.
These are landing with dealers now and continue shipping most of next week.
Based on dealer orders so far, these will be a great success.

They do look fabulous and will give us something rather different in terms of a digital racing class.
Jules - what are the plans for future releases in the Legends range?

'tis the season to be slotting. It's the car that says "Merry Christmas" with every lap. No?

Andy, the model just released is the '34 Ford Coupe style. Apart from the Xmas Edition Chevy, the race versions of the '37 Chevy Sedan are in the works right now. Early January for those.

I received mine today.
Really lovely cars and they go well straight out of the box.
However, I took the magnet out of one to see how it would go, but when I went to put it back one of the clips just broke off the chassis.
I'm not sure if it could just be a fault with my particular car, and I was being careful when trying to put it back - it's not difficult, or a potential general fault/weak point. I just slid one end of the magnet under the first clip and pressed the other end to clip it in. It was when I gently pressed it down that the clip broke off.
So, just be aware to be careful.
Shame for me, but nice cars though.
Will there be more versions?
