The consultation document has been updated.
I was asked if Policars were regarded as different from Slot it cars, sadly no I don't so I have named them now on the list of ProCars not permitted in this proxy.
And after comparing the performance of my MR slotman Corvette with other Hard top RTR models fitted with 3d chassis, I have not excluded the new Ferrari 250GT SWB from being used in the Hard Top Event as a RTR car. Whilst the MR chassis cars are better running than an unmodified RTR model, they are not in my opinion in the ProCar performance range and therefore should be allowed. Basically I found that within the Event dimensional and motor limitations on track clearance and wheel size, they appear to need a fair amount of stabilizing ballast fitted as with their plastic chassis equivalents, so basically not that competitive in comparison with other models I have tested.
So the wording has been changed to permit them in the context as a Modified RTR model in the Hard top Event.

I wasn't aware Policar made pre-1965 F1's, all the one's I know of are 1970 onwards.
What about Cartrix pre-wings?

It’s not the Policar F1 cars, it’s the Ferrari 330/412P which was branded as a Policar for some reason at the time.
I think the only Cartrix rear engine early F1 model was the Porsche 804 which would be permitted as a RTR class model.

Hi Kev,
I am intending that this should be the final rules, but I have said the 1st May is the end of the consultation period. So to be sure wait until I change the status of the document from Consultation to final rules.

My only thoughts were about the rather late 1967 cut-off for 'early-1960s' prototypes and GTs. I'd have preferred 1965 across all four events. That does lose some tasty prototypes, but rather predictable ones.
I was thinking of entering a Lola T70 Mk3, so kept my mouth shut... but I would rather see earlier - truly 'early 1960s' - cars on the grid.

I think it would not harm the choice of Hard top cars very much to make it, up to and including 65 year cars, but potentially for the prototypes could be a bit of downer for those wanting to present some fairly easily modified later models. I would need to think about that one.
