Very pleased to see Cobra 39PH - off to pre-order that one now.
Also great to see a Shelby GT350 Mustang - I was hoping that might show up. Shame its a historic racer rather than a period car, but fingers crossed they are still to come - along with a black and gold Hertz rent-a-racer please!

The latest edition of the SlotRacer Digest is up on the homepage. There are new cars from Carrera, NSR and Scalextric, an update from Octane, wheels from Staffs and a kit from MMK, supplemented by highlights from the SlotRacer Calendar and the best of slot car videos and photography.

Scalextric have done a good job with the Morse Jag. I saw a sample at the Gaugesmaster event last month and I was impressed. All my gripes about the the Mk1 racing version (no quarter lights, ill-defined central door pillar) have been put right with this one. Some extra tooling, great detail and the wheels are fabulous. £56 though...

The other highlight for me is a look at the first test shots of the Octane Peugeot 504 Safari. The production version is expected soon and will cost as least two Scalextric Jags, but Octane have done a good job filling gaps in the slot rally catalogue.

In this week's news...

MR Slotcar Cunningham C1

1960 Le Mans class winner, driven by John Fitch and Bob Grossman. Available to pre-order, expected in December. I can see this being very popular.

Pendle Slot Racing have announced two 30th Anniversary models. Both are produced by Fly and both are limited to just 50 units. Available now.

Policar Lotus 72
An iconic livery for those of us of a certain age. Emerson Fittipaldi's F1 World Championship winning car, expected in January, available for pre-order shortly.

BRM NSU TT
1/24 scale, 2017 Hockenheim Revival recreation.

George Turner Models Edwardian Racers
George keeps saying he isn't going to do any more Edwardian racers, but they keep on coming anyway. Here we have two Bugattis and a Stutz which are due on the GTM website imminently.

HobbyClassic Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2
HobbyClassic have posted prototype photos of a new Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2. It is the Pikes Peak version, driven by Walter Röhrl

Surprised to see the Pikes Peak Audi, wonder what the price tag would be.

Marelic Models have doen the model, they made 100 units at 235 euro and if their website is up to date one can still buy it.

Time to catch up on the slot car news.

Scalextric Subaru Impreza
Carlos Sainz and Luis Moya's victorious 1995 Rallye Monte Carlo car, in clean and weathered versions. I often find weathered cars are a bit overdone, but I quite like this one, especially the detail on the door which makes it look like the rally number has been cleaned.

Scalextric Ford Puma Rally1
Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja, 2023 Rallye Monte Carlo, 5th place.

Avant Slot Lotus Elise GT1
FIA GT series 1997, Sandy Grau & Kurt Thimm. There is also a Castrol Edition, which I presume is a fantasy livery.

Fein Design Modell Shelby King Cobra
1/24 scale. Dave MacDonald, 1st at the Riverside 200 Miles in 1963

Slot.it Mercedes C Class
Ellen Lohr, 1995 DTM.

I'm sure you will have already seen rallyhub's post about our featured car in the digest this week, but just in case you haven't...
SRC Peugeot 205 T16

Scalextric Jaguar Mk1
The car gifted to F1 World Champion Mike Hawthorne by Jaguar.
It might just be me, but I sometimes think Scalextric could do better with their photography.

Hobbyclassic Citroën Type 45
Hobbyclassic certainly bring out some unusual models, and good on them for that.
This is a Citroën T45 bus, which entered the 1934 Rallye Monte Carlo. It must have been quite a sight traversing all those tight hairpins.

BRM Ford GT 40
An unusual choice of cars from BRM, since I believe that two of them didn't finish, and one was disqualified. 1966 Le Mans & Sebring.

Fly Renault 5 GT Turbo
Massimo Signala, 1982 Coupe d'Europe

Scaleauto Callaway C7R GT3
Callaway Competition car driven by Daniel Keilwitz in the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge.

Scaleauto Mitsubishi EVO VI
No details on these.

Scaleauto Scenics
The first part of the new Scaleauto Scenics range is here, with ten trackside billboards and three kiosks.
