Undara Circuit Race Results - Paul
#21

Race Wrap
25th January 2023
Undara Circuit

The classes run this week included:
- Ninco 1,
- Ninco Porsche Cup,
- Trans-Am,
- GT International,
- Revoslot,
- Slot.it LMP Modern,
- Slot.it Can-Am,

Missing this week was Nathan with Robyn having to leave early for other afternoon commitments.

A very hot day on the coast today, and even warmer inside the garage with very little airflow and six people things heated up fast. A lot of very close racing was had across all classes.

Thanks to Paul for hosting today. The track was run in reverse direction.

Paul and Johnno are still starting 15 seconds (two laps) behind everyone else...

Car scutineering has begun and so far has been great to see those cars checked have complied with the class rules, a lot more to go for next week, it will be interesting to see how far the lap times increasel for all these non-compliant cars.

Thanks Kevan, we certainly have a variety of cars and liveries for every race for a small group and some very good racers amongst us as well. Though half the group's cars are non-compliant with the class rules  Tappingfoot

Our race days starts at 10am for practice, raing from 11am until about 5pm usually, so a big day.

Yes well our sponsor for the day, Nestle Ray wasn't quite on his game, usually the podium place getters get to eat the goodies, but to save $$ and sponsor goodies we leave them there

We often only have 4 club members due to work/heath/holidays etc. keeping it different helps keep the weekly regulars happy.

Last night we raced Group 5's followed by NSR Moslers, Moslers are all stock with the only 'mod' allowed is tape under the chassis.

Next week is one of our bi-monthly theme nights, this one being '50's & 60's Monsters vs Minis' - think Ford Galaxie vs Mini Cooper, Chevrolet Camaro vs Austin A30

The week after is Slot Rally on three purpose built Rally stages

Our group has been dwindling in people over 18 months, what makes it hard is one person is stuck on weekday racing which makes it harder to attract racers, I'm working on this, having already dropped two classes at my track, the next will be Sunday racing.

We don't run the NSR Mosler, they have been banned.

The Moslers in question were donated by a kind club member to those of us who pay by monthly direct debit as an incentive, racing at 11v with Truspeed BP2 controllers also donated by the same person means we're very closely matched.

hmm this 'monthly direct debit as an incentive' interested to read how you mean. Getting people to buy cars or even to do maintenance on cars in our group is hard.

Controllers have been mentioned a few times and this being a sensitive topic as controllers are a personal thing and forcing everyone to use the same controller when they are used to say Slot.it SCP2 is a bit harsh.
