A quick google for 'basic slot car controllers' tells us they're DS Racing controllers

...and Pendle offer them with 7no. different plugs, one of which is labelled "Scalextric Sport 3.5mm jack" which may or may not be the one you are after.

Definitely DS controllers.
We use these as our club controllers, and they have been excellent over the past 5 years.
Not expensive, and a good step up from the standard Scalextric controllers.

As others have said they are DS controllers and cheap and nasty at that. Though for the price point under $100 and lower depending on the controller.
I'd find another alternative if I were you.

Think I have to disagree with you there Johnno. Whilst I agree that they are cheap, they are very popular here in the UK and have cornered the market as a first upgrade from the standard set controllers. I've not heard anything nasty about them.

Yup, I have a 25 ohm one that I keep for guests to use with a couple of ProSlot Alfas I keep for the same reason. Perfectly fine. I used it once at Bordeaux and it coped fine. I like the simplicity, can't stand all the gizmos that seem the norm now.
