It's called Exponential in the RC world.
It's a curve adjusting function that logarithmically changes the power delivery in response to trigger position. It can be adjusted from mild to quick.

Yes...Power Trim to give it it's proper title.
Read through the manual again and it's a clever knob. It only kicks in if you pull the trigger quicker than the PT threshold you have set...it's not just a constant cap on power delivery.

Yes, you only really feel it when you nail the throttle, it's the perfect way to tame a car on skinny tyres when smooooth is preferred.
