Spirit Peugeot 406 is 64mm and always been popular in our Saloon class but nowhere near a SlotIt Opel.
I can provisionally confirm two entries from the Manx crew

Ok guys, I can't honestly remember exactly how the 64mm rule became applied, as these rules were written a good few weeks ago, it was from using the CSRA Saloon Car rules as a guide, but probably before I decided to leave out the Group 5 cars, and even less sure about why I used 64mm for the earlier Events. No matter it is changed now.
So I have amended the rules in the header page
Event 1 & 2 - Rear wheel outer tyre to tyre width 58mm
Event 3 & 4 -Rear wheel outer tyre to tyre width 61mm
Also with the suggestion of Kevan, I changed the rear tyre width to max 10mm across all the board, so that makes the cars across the Events more balanced in performance.
And finally I decided to give another concession for Class A models which are now allowed to use an aftermarket motor to replace the original scalex or Carrera motor etc if it is the same type and rpm rating as original (eg Pioneer, SRP, Hawk or Predator) if you can get one.

My view on tyres in general is that for these Proxy's, Rubber Branded tyres should be used, the only exception I know of with my club racing experience is for Vintage Slot car racing where Ortmann replica tyres are often the case or specified in the competition rules due to the original Rubber ones no longer being available. Individuals are now quite able to make their own PU tyres and use their own recipes/methods. I am an ex PU chemist so I know you can do a lot to influence the resulting compound which is used.
There is the also the issue that the PU tyres tend to "clean off the track" so perhaps influencing the performance of the following cars which are used immediately afterwards. How important that is in the terms of Proxy racing is really conjecture, but if you go to clubs with wood tracks there is often a lot of debate and frowning of heads about this if someone turns up with PU tyres at a rubber only tyre event.
I think if everyone uses PU tyres or the proxy rules state PU tyres only, then there is no problem.
I have in earlier Proxy events allowed PU tyres, but they really were not that good for the entrants which used them, mostly because we use such a varied mixture of different Plastic and wood surfaces. A medium hardness Rubber tyre usually works the best.

(1971 AMG Mercedes 300 SEL) May not be my final choice as I've only just built it up and I'm a little precious about sending it away, but would be good to have the option...
Hi AdeC,
you have won my heart over with this one, so I have added it to the list. In general I ask people to refrain from asking me to update the lists unless they are committed to enter a particular model which they believe to be eligible. But in this case I can see it might be a popular choice with the intro of the Carrera model, so it's in.
Personally I am kinda hoping to see some Fords appearing in the Event 1, loads to choose from, the appearance of a Anglia, Zephyr, Zodiac, Cortina or Gallexie would be most welcome

I am thinking to go this route myself.

I think this is looking to be a very popular Proxy, and we are limited to 40..ish cars or 20 entrants (2 cars).
So I will look to start a provisional entry list based on those who have given the thumbs up so far, nothing too formal, just a entry name and 1 or 2 car entry.

Amended widths of cars & tyres
Rubber only - some clubs don't allow the use of PU or foam or silicone (ours for example)
I'm an old car favourite also

Examples:do you know of any soft (rubber) tyre to fit Slot.it 312PB front rims? They are the only ones to fit under the Autobianchi A112 and Fiat X1/9 projects. Also same dia but 6mm wide rims and tyres to fit under an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sedan (1955)?
