yes when I write the rules I will clarify, but at the moment any commercial brand of "rubber" tyres are permitted. Definitely not Silicones, and probably not urethanes this time as it could be on mostly Club wooden tracks.

I think you mean Class B for the Porsche 904 (especially for you)  Rofl

And thanks for the compliment but I really like organising these events, so it is a great pleasure for me and satisfies my need to play with lots of different cars Cool

Mind you I might retire after this one...... or perhaps finish with a Winter Rally  Sun

I'll be up for this one. Based on my current stable, I'd likely say class A & B, but TBC nearer the time.

Yes, class B I got a little excited, I have a 904to race not sure if it will compete but it will still be fun.  I don’t think anyone can put two feet in the sand after just one year. Rofl

Could not bear to see that Porsche 904 on the shelf gathering dust, so having provided the opportunity, your entry will have to include it, or there will be penalty  Thumbup

Wavegreen Good Morning,

a couple of proposed changes to the rules for the Le Mans Plus Proxy in the autumn. Recognising that there are a lot of the standard Scalextric type older Le Mans cars with well worn or just very poor old style fixed chassis, plus the fact that there are now many available 3d chassis available for these models from Amato Slot Car Design, PCR, JS Design, WSR etc I have decided to allow this as a 'upgrade' to the Class A cars. Additionally recognising that the Standard 'S'Bell Scalex motors are quite variable, you will be able to substitute it with an alternative 18k rpm 'S' Bell motor from another or same brand. For those models without available 3d chassis, you are allowed to use the Slot it HRS2 Universal chassis.

Idea Of course if you wish to benefit from the additional Team Bonus points for fitting lights, you must accommodate the provision to fitting them into the new chassis.

Hmm interesting, basically an open class but with a scaley body and 18k limit to the motor? I would probably change one of my choices to that class.

I would prefer to say "modified class" , as the motor type ('S' Bell), motor Max 18k rpm, standard body and full interior are fixed. Most of the current Road Race entrants who running with Class A type cars seem to have taken to the "upgrades" idea so far, and I think it gives the greater opportunity to improve their cars track performance by including the chassis and motor as well. For the hosts I think it helps to have cars running with better handling performance too of course. We would all prefer to see cars competing with the same general stability. On the other hand I did not want to make the modifications so great (eg changing the motor type or Rpm) that it would completely rule out the standard unmodified cars from remaining in the running.
