Many thanks again Michael, I think a lot of the teams cars appreciated that long fast Highway to get their foot down on. But as Michael says the next stage is more daunting, I hope Boycie's Garage has an adequate supply of winter tyres for everyone
In the meantime here are the overall first 12 placings after the 3rd stage (full results as PDF file)
And of course the Team placings after the 3rd Stage (full results as a PDF file)

A lot of fun, nimble cars to finish off with. Once again, the SRC Porsche 914/6s showed how good they are in a proxy event. This pair had different SRC motors, the white M6 engined car just pipped the Gulf liveried M7 runner.
You've got the 2 914/6 mixed up, the Gulf pipped the white one on the timesheets.
I cant wait to get my one back to try it myself, 2 drivers so far and neither of them me.

Nonfractal, your Megane was faster on the straights than the winning Mercedes, however it lost ground on the compound curve (top right of the track layout drawing). That curve is configured R4>R4>R3>R3>R2>R2. The Megane took the first part of the curve at Mercedes speed but then, as it entered the R2 section, it simply rolled gently onto its side. So I had to slow down.
Your car is a few mm taller than the NSR and has a fractionally shorter guidebase which may explain the effect.

Thanks for that feedback.
Nice to know she's still quick.
I raised the motor up higher to handle Andy's drop from the Devil's dyke (which killed the Megane at the winter rally) and that will explain the roll DeSlot behaviour.
The car is also carrying light kit left over from the rally.
The improvements are a new body (no light kit) and an offset pod to get the motor to the dead right height.
The car will then go off down-under to take on the Aussies later this year.
For this road race, only bad weather will save the day. Bring on the ice!

Thanks Michael - top job with the MYST raceway and glad you enjoyed driving the top 4 class B cars. MAD Racing's Aston is the first NSR car I've ever owned - bought especially for this event as I didn't have any cars suitable for the class and must admit I was impressed when I test drove it, being new to the idea of 'serious' non-magnet slot cars - the rest of my collection's mainly Scalextric - half of it from childhood!

Sorry, BARacer, but I can't remember any. After 68 cars it all became a bit of a blur.
I do remember that when Phil unpacked the big white box your giant Bentley came out right next to the tiny Mini, which caused a bit of a chuckle.

I have a love hate relationship with the NSR Aston. When we started racing GT3s at club it was my first choice and I bought the British Racing Green one. Unfortunately it was way, way off the pace. Whatever I did, didn't help. Nothing did. It was slow. Race after race I trailed round at the foot of the timing screens. Eventually I gave it away to another club member.
Only to find said club member putting it on the podium.
