Braids - yes, absolutely. Some short-ish pieces soldered to the front of the shoes is the way to do it. You want it nice and smooth at the front, so nothing catches on the track joins...

   

One way is to build up solder at the front or...

   

...simply leave long ends at the front and bend them up.

A change of rear tyres is also probably a very good idea. However, if you were to enter our UK races, you'll automatically get a couple of sets of 'Tuff Ones' silicone tyres - courtesy of Nick and Sandy at SuperTires.

By the way. Lakeside Enterprises or "FrankTheRacer" is located about 45-minutes from my mother. He's in Niagara Falls, US side. My mom is on the Canadian side. Thank you for the info. I should really treat the entire fleet to some new shoes.

Not necessarily. All you need is a standard pair of pickups to swap back in on their return from the Proxy.

I'm too late to get a car into the next drag race. More are scheduled. No point in trying to rush.

I have a T-jet car for one class. That's about it. The rest are AFX and Tyco. Please kindly help me source more HO related parts?

I know FrankTheRacer for tires thanks to Andy. I already have thin braids for my 1/32 cars.

Where are suppliers for T-jet parts such as replacement pick ups and motor brushes please?

Scalex tracks and chassis? Resin bodies?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The wall that supports the AFX track is 12' feet long. It has 4' feet of space before it, and 7' feet after it for a total of 23' feet in a straight line. Where the wall meets the floor under the AFX track can easily support a simple HO drag-race track.

As you're finding, all over the Internet. Try eBay amd Facebook too, if you're a user. Harden Creek Slots and Lucky Bob's are favourites on your side of the Pond if you Google their websites.

Lucky Bob's liquid soldering flux is the best on the planet. I never noticed he did HO. Lucky Bob has way more cars than I can afford to buy concerning some of the other drag-race classes. That's cool.

What is the strange thing going on with Scalextric micro cars? Looney tunes bodies? Who is the cheapest supplier of these junk bodied cars? Not Lucky Bob's.

Who makes nice bodies for the Micro cars please?

For the Proxy series it seems people have adapted other manufacturers bodies to the MS chassis using velcro, double-sided tape, or whatever. Couldn't tell you the best place to get the MS cars for the chassis though. 

Maybe Andy has a source?
