3DP body shell addiction
#61

Round up of latest shells I have been working on to add to my compulsive collection of 50-60s front engine sports cars.

Left to right Lister Costin, AC427 hard top, XK120 UK R/H drive and L/H drive XK120 based on a state side racer from the 1960s that has twin side pipe exhausts and a rear fin (see link below).

The XKs are from 3dp scans then corrected/modified/added to in CAD as required, the 427 is from a download with a CAD generated hard top added. The Costin started off as a scan of a Lister open top and then modified in CAD on the arches, bonnet and then a roof added. It won’t please the purists but it gives a flavour of the car, good enough for club racing.

Shells FDM printed vertically at 0.1mm layers with the JAMG HE PLA + filament, shown with the supports removed rears glued on, and sanding, filling, priming underway.

Cheers

Kevan, was thinking of printing this off and racing it in the Club Goodwood class to wind a few people up...

It'd be more realistic without the blower and pipes
