I actually worked out scale average speeds for each stage where the host gave lap distance and number of laps (in my own master spreadsheet - perhaps I got a bit too excited about my first proxy event !) but there were four stages where I didn't know lap distance/no. of laps. Total actual distance for the other 8 stages: 1185 metres
Was actually quite interesting to see how average speeds differed between stages (speeds are for the Yellow Devils' Opel Calibra):
Madeira Drive (Ninco) - 149 mph
Devils Dyke (SCX classic) - 152 mph
MYST Raceway (Ninco tarmac) - 212 mph
Rodneys Raceway (Ninco tarmac/snow) - 80 mph (not sure this is right - based on 4 laps of 15.2 m)
Robin Hood Way (Carrera) - 182 mph
Belvoir Pass (Scalex Sport/ SCX Classic) - 147 mph Worlds End Pass (Scalex Sport / SCX classic) - ?
Brymbo Steelway Park ( Policar) - ? Goldrock (Scalex Sport) - 199 mph Pendle Crossing ( SCX / Scalextric Classic) - ?
Rest & Be Thankful ( Ninco/Policar) - ? The Great Glen (Painted Carrera ) - 126 mph
In the spirit of giving away team secrets on car prep, here's the info on MAD Racings' cars:
Class A Jaguar XKRS was a £17 ebay special chosen for low wide stance and lightish body - the only prep was some new 'Wasp' urethane tyres trued with some wet and dry, and some carefully positioned tungsten putty to try to keep it in the slot while testing on my home track - so pretty pleased with 5th in class!
Class B NSR Aston was bought specially as I didn't have a suitable car, no ballast, just medium suspension fitted to ensure it met ground clearance. (It was supposed to get ultragrip rear tyres but they didn't arrive in time, so I just did my best to true the supergrip ones that it came with). 7th in class.
Class C Jaguar XK120 - a standard Ninco I've owned since buying new (probably 20 years ago now!) just with some tungsten putty and replacement PCS rear tyres (thanks Pendle!). I've always found it more forgiving to drive than the Ferrari 166 MM and Porsche 356 Ninco classics I also own - very happy to get the 50's class win!

Hello Qman,
Your Corvette has little in the way of dynamic braking on overrun. In the warm-up it kept de-slotting at the end of the main straight. In the timed runs, It de-slotted twice at the same place and so I drove it very "gingerly" to avoid any further de-slotting. The main straight is downhill most of the way then rises again towards the corner so the cars can build up a decent turn of speed.
What motor is in it?

Not sure Leo, the standard NSR I believe, thanks for your input on this, braking is/was fine on our club track.
