Yes, the position of the camera for the second stage was much better.

Here are the overall standings after Stage 5 - nearly halfway through the event...
Alan W jumps back onto the podium and the top two - Alan B and Phil F - are separated by just three-quarters of a second. Less than 7 seconds covers the top seven. Ade continues his rise up the table and sits just outside the top ten. Graham, Noah and Jeremy make up the Class A podium. Oli, Doug / Noah and Andy / Rebecca are the top three cars in Class B.
Here's the pdf of the standings...

This Class A podium doesn't feel very secure. Only a couple of seconds to others ready to take my place!
I love puttering with gears

A third and a (joint) second in those two rounds; very happy with that! Just a shame I lost so much time in round 1

I don't think you have too much to worry about with a
five* second lead and the Rally finishing on the off road stage that played havoc with so much of the competition!
(*Are we looking at different stats, as I see second place as five seconds behind and third thirteen seconds back?)

From the spreadsheet, these are the Class A standings...
1. Graham - 306.17
2. Noah - 311.1 (+4.93)
3. Jeremy - 319.82 (+13.65)
4. Dylan - 320.83 (+14.66)
5. Doug - 322.54 (+16.37)
6. Clive - 324.4 (+18.23)
7. David - 326.41 (+20.24)
8. Andy - 329.72 (+23.55)
9. Mike - 330.47 (+24.3)
10. Paul - 331.25 (+25.08)
11. Rebecca - 338.15 (+31.98)
12. Simon - 355.76 (+49.59)
Six stages to go... The penultimate stage is a re-run of Stage 1 (but in the opposite direction). Jean's two stages are both on Scalextric Sport, I have two hillclimbs on SCX Classic and then the final stage is a completely unknown quantity on the foamboard...

And - for good measure - here's Class B...
1. Oli Abbott - 314.9
2. Doug & Noah - 321.98 (+7.08)
3. Andy P & Rebecca - 323.1 (+8.2)
4. Graham - 325.68 (+10.78)
5. Paul - 337.29 (+22.39)
6. Andy D - 347.78 (+32.88)
7. David & Dylan - 352.38 (+37.48)
8. Clive - 355.54 (+40.64)
9. Leo - 360.77 (+55.87)
Both Graham and Oli have 'new' Scalextric models fitted with slightly longer guide blades. I wonder if they trimmed them down for the SCX Classic track?
Plus, the Andy & Rebecca car will be getting the average time on four of the six remaining stages.

I like both presentation formats.
It's great to be able to identify your own cars in individual stills - but interesting - if you can spot them - to see how well or badly your own cars actually perform compared to the opposition.
The only two Rally Team Chesterfield cars I spotted in the live stream were the F40, which seemed to plough straight on at some corners and the white and red Escort Cosworth, which generally seemed 'ok-ish'
