You’ve mentioned how small the body/chassis is.  I have never seen this Strombecker body in person so once the project is finished , how about a picture of the M1B beside a Slot It McLaren M8 to get a proper perspective?

Here you go Garway...............Slot-it M8D, vs the Strombecker M1B.

The Strombecker M1B is............approximately 10mm shorter,.....9mm narrower,.......and most importantly, has an 8mm shorter guide lead, (and that is with the guide as far forward on my chassis as I could possibly get it).
