Another question for you Chris if I may.  I want to build a simple chassis for a 1970’s F1 Car (Fly March 761).The motor would be the Scalextric FF050 and of course - wide tires.

Would .047 main rails work for this combination or does the wide tires change the theory?   Should I go with .055 piano wire?
