That surprises me as you raced RC cars like myself.

As someone who came to Slot cars via 37 years racing RC cars, primarily with sticks then latterly pistol radio (which I quickly preferred), holding the Slot controller with both hands seems the only natural way for me, there's no way I can race with one hand in my pocket.

Of course the blindingly obvious advantage of using both hands is the ability to tweak the controller settings instantly and the non trigger hand helps stabilise the controller...and during long races gives you the opportunity to quickly stretch the hand a few times during a marshalling incident.
