The ultimate chassis mod for your original scaley is the ChopJob route (inferred by Kevan above)
The chassis has to be cut using a sharp carpet knife using a jig to ensure the cut is straight, correctly sized and correctly aligned.
The chassis has to be drilled to take the motor mount screws.
ChopJobs are still the norm at some clubs where uptake and acceptance of 3d chassis technology has been slow.
It is a risky procedure. A one way trip, but if you are willing to risk a chassis on it, it is a route you might want to try.
