Pictures as requested. I think i used Slotit bearings designed for a Proslot chassis which are double the width of a standard bearing so they were quite easy to cut down the middle with a small hacksaw. Not terribly pretty but it worked.

   

The car was well used when I got it so the body needs a bit of sorting out
