SCX U10332 (Original) / E10332 (Advance) - Porsche 911 Rally 'Orriols'. RRP £39.95 (Original) / £49.95 (Advance)

A shipment from SCX is expected in the UK very soon. Among various sets and GT cars (1/32 and 1/43 scale) is this lovely-looking rally car, modelled on the Escudería Osona Porsche 997 GT3 RS which won the Rally 2000 Viratges (2000 corners) in 2013, driven by Albert Orriols and Lluis Pujolar. Already available in Spain, these photos have been shared by SCX...

       

Despite the sketchy name given to it by SCX, the model looks to be a faithful representation of the winning Porsche, down to the correct rally entry decal and the car's registration plates...

       

The front auxiliary light pod looks good, although only the standard two front and two rear lights actually work...

   

The SCX Porsche 911 GT3 dates back to 2008, with both track and rally liveries produced. It's another post-relaunch re-release that makes sense, especially to SCX's slot rally fan-base. Although not a globally-recognised livery, it is of a very successful Catalan car - winning plenty of local rallies and awarded the Catalunya Asphalt Cup twice. You can see it in spectacular action here...



The car is available in both Original (analogue) and Advance (digital) versions - the first new SCX livery to be produced in both formats. The cars are fitted with the FR42 motor and have front stub axles to accommodate the Advance digital chip mounting socket.

Expected in the same UK shipment from SCX is a restock of the U10247 Munari-Manucci Lancia Fulva, the new E102331 Vodafone AMG GT3, E10283 Advance Digital GT3 Starter Set, plus four new SCX Compact 1/43 scale GT cars - two Porsches, an Audi R8 and an AMG.

Coming in the not too distant future are the MG A '1955 Le Mans' car and the first two Audi S1WRX models. SCX have released a couple of teasers...
