As the Rally GB for 25 is heading south of the Birmingham line, for all the right reasons, I am trying to gain interest in running a three round championship in North Wales and borders..hence the name.
The host clubs running the event are “Its a Small World” “ North Wales Slot Car Club” Denbigh and TRUSPEED Club Whitchurch.
Each of the Clubs can provide four rally tracks the majority being wood build. The calendar is being formulated and the rules are being discussed and will reflect the GB Rally rules but host will have a local class for their particular event, included a junior section if there is interest and appetite.
So this is a starting point for interest so please reply or message me if you are interested so we can gauge the general interest. The dates will not conflict with the Rally GB dates and it will be a three event championship. It is hoped to start the first in Spring and the last two events in Autumn due to some wood stages needing to be built and finished.
Our first round has now been finalised as the 15th Feb 25 . Venue will be Denbigh North wales Slot car club. See face book page. There will be four tracks but hopefully five will be available three wood and two ninco plastic with raid sections included in there layouts. The rules are being finalised and classes may be decided on how many racers sign up. Each round will be run under the hosts rules and format which will be two wheel drive and four wheel drive open. The event winner would be one of each, where you receive points for the Championship will only be awarded to cars which are compliant to Rally GB rules.

Access is of Barker Wells Road which leads you to a big roller shutter door and the pedestrian door is around the side.
Cost is £15 a head running 3 cars . Class victory’s for 2wheel drive and 4wheel drive, overal championship points can only be scored with inline motored cars. A special prize for the best placed 3D printed chassis.

Our first Rally Event was run yesterday at Denbigh . Five stages in all plus a Power Stage. 12 entrants 3 classes. A great days rallying entertainment. Attached are the results and some pictures. Our event was sponsored by Angello 3D printed chassis.
Our next Rally is this coming Saturday 15 th March doors open at 9am racing starting at 11am.
3 classes as before 2wheel drive ….4wheel Drive and those with a 3D printed Chassis.
Cost is £15.
Stages are the best with the winter snow stage coming out for this event.
On the 22nd November and on the 6th December we have rounds 3& 4 of our championship. Small World Blaenau Ffestiniog Wales. Will host round 3 of the championship and this is open to all not just those signed up to the Championship. There are 4classes, the primary classes are two wheel drive and four wheel drive. Open class no magnets and 2. Persons depicted in the cockpit. The other secondary classes are for 3dChassis cars and out the box scaly/scx . you may only enter a max of three cars but some may be Eligble for more than one class. costs are £5 per car. Please see poster attached below for entry details . Whitchurch Rally Slot Club will host the final round At the TruSpeed Raceway in Whitchurch. A date has been decided for the North Wales & Borders Slot Rally Championship 25 NW&BSRC for the Whitchurch round. See below. There are four classes but 2 wheel drive open, 4 wheel Drive open, 3d chassis open and Scalextric / SCX rally car out the box slight mods for guide/tyres. We have four stages permanently laid out and will add one more so giving us five which will make an interesting event. One of these will be scaly classic so mind your guide depth.
