Hi all , I've had this build posted on the SCI forum ,but due to a shoddy built chassis , I remade it ,going inline this time . Still using the Phoenix motor and it is still shredding tyres and as I didn't have any decent in line gears I used scalextric ,which the motor is not so slowly working it's way through the teeth .. Will post more photos when I get the time
Done some more work on the Galaxy , I had to chop out a bit of the interior as it's now an in-line chassis ,and then fitted the chassis in , I must say it's sitting quite low !! In the foreground the start of a Fraud Cortina
Thanks for looking. Steve
I take it that Cortina will end up as wide as the Galaxie. I bought a Revell Cortina and it's so narrow it just falls over at the slightest curve. Shame to bodge it though as it's such a nice model.
Hi Gordon , yes I've got another standard scalextric one which I won't molest , I found it a bit hard to take the Dremel to it ,but once one arch is done you've just got to carry on ,. Thinking of getting a 47000 rmp falcon motor for it .I like a challenge !!
Hi Tel ,yes it's a scaly body , will do , I'll take some photos and put them on . Really perhaps we should have a kit bash section as it's only modified parts rather than made bits . Will bring it with me Wednesday.
