RevoSlot 2021-22 New Release Preview
#1

Thanks to Alan at the ScaleRacing Center in Tacoma, Wa for this sneak preview of upcoming RevoSlot releases...

Alan is the US distributor for RevoSlot and BRM and also a retailer at 132 Slotcar: www.132slotcar.us

Here are a few of the cars that will be released in the next few months...

The two IGOL Ferrari F40s - plus the twin pack - are expected late August / early September.

A brand new mould - the McLaren F1 GTR - will appear in two liveries at the end of September / beginning of October.

And two new Porsche 911 GT2 liveries are due in November...

For UK-based enthusiasts, you find these new cars listed as pre-orders at Pendle Slot Racing: https://www.pendleslotracing.co.uk/brand.../cars.html

I would have to see it in the flesh, but from those drawings of the Mclaren F1 GTR, the nose looks too long in front of the wheels, and the rear looks a little high?

After Ninco, MrSlotcar and Scalextric there’s another company doing a McLaren? I’d rather see something new  Tappingfoot

To be honest, RevoSlot are doing something genuinely different - a unique 1:32 chassis style, plus a range made up entirely of 1990s GT cars. Of course they were going to do a McLaren F1 GTR eventually... but thankfully it wasn't their first car :-)

I'm sure there will be even more 90s GT cars to come - time for a Venturi? - and I'd love to see more clubs doing what Eindhoven started with their 'Back to the 90s' endurance series: https://slotracer.online/community/showt...t=revoslot

I don't have a problem with various makes doing the same car, because you can choose the one that fits best for your need and/or expectations on their take.
Their may be 3 other manufactures that have made this car, but they all have differences in appearance, and very different performances out of the box.
I also feel, as Woodcote points out, Revoslot cars have a USP due to the chassis.

I have yet to buy a revoslot car, but I do have some of their bodies on plastic chassis.
I feel it won't be long until I add a pair of something Revoslot to my collection ;)

The BRM and TTS models are most definitely 1/24 scale, but the Group 2 and Mini-Saloons will run side-by-side on 1/32 sectional track. It's a tight fit on Scalextric and the old SCX track, a bit more room on Ninco, Policar etc.

There are some posts about the BRM and TTS cars in the News section here on the forum, but also take a look at the weekly Digest, which has more bite-sized snippets and announcements: https://slotracer.online/digest.php

The BRM site is here: https://www.brmmodelcars.com/
