It's quite easy to embed videos into a post. Brian explains it here: https://slotracer.online/community/showt...hp?tid=439

Wavegreen Well hello and Good Morning

I would like to introduce our new Proxy competition

Lights on ! “Le Mans Cars” Event scheduled for October 2021

Theme- A celebration of both Modern & Classic Le Mans Slot Cars. As with the real race we hope to test our slot cars in daylight and in subdued light conditions. Therefore focusing a preference on slot cars fitted with lights.

Scope- A wide choice of Le Mans slot cars will be run, standard Scalextric/SCX, other branded RTR cars, modified and scratch built will be allowed within the classes below.

Lighting – Mandatory for Class A, preferred option for class’s B,C & D. Cars fitted with lights will be eligible for full Team points awarded to the cars securing placings 1-10 associated with the final timings of the cars in each class the end of each stage run. Cars entered without lights will still be allowed full points for their run times during the daylight stages, but will not qualify for any Team points during the “dusk” light stages awarded for placings 1-10.

Standard Class A) - Scalextric/SCX – Modern Sports GT, GT1, GT2, GT£, GTE, GTR Le Mans entered cars (post 1980) must be fitted with lights with minor modifications (tyres, braids, etc) as allowed in the technical rules.

There will a target limit of 15 cars allowed for each of the classes. Entrants will be allowed to enter up to 3 cars from the 4 Classes. The overall limit of the competition is fixed at 60 cars.

Race format -Each host will run the entrants cars on either a club wooden routed track or a plastic based home track. At the present time we have 3 club tracks offered to host this competition South Manchester Slot Racing club (SMSRC), North East Restoration Club Slots (NERCS) & Woodland Fort Slot club. And 3 home based hosts using either Carrera, Policar of Scalextric Sport tracks. There will be 2 stages run by each host to simulate daylight and “dusk”light running conditions, Details to be decided later. There will be no shallow slot rail tracks used, but the home tracks are limited to accepting car slot guides of no deeper than 7mm.

Endurance Style – The cars will be run an agreed period of laps depending on each track length and number of cars entered. The Median lap time will be used to determine the cars general best running time over the period of the run.

Class winners – will be the cars in each class which have the shortest accumulated median times over all 12 stages.

Event winner – will be the Team who has the highest number of combined cars accrued points at the end of the 12 stages.

Class B is stated as 'Modern, post 75' cars yet you list only covers 1976-2000 what about the last 21 years?

Currently I dont have an eligible car for ANY class

Same for me with Class B.
Dont remember seeing that it was limited to upto 2000.  This rules out LMP 1 and LMP 2, which are listed as categories which fit into this class.
I have just purchased a 3D printed chassis for an LMP2, so hope its allowed to participate...
