HO stuff
26th-May-21, 12:50 PM
My very first HO set was an AFX Ghost Racer (1990?). It didn't take too long before these were showing up at flea markets. I ended up buying 2-more sets.
Now I had 6-Corvettes. 3-red ones that looked okay, and 3-ugly black ones with spiders and skull tampos all over them. I remember thinking "Hopefully I'll be able to repaint those if I ever learn how to paint".

The 66 Buick Riviera is a cool car to take for an ice cream. It went back into the garage.
A 1970 Challenger T/A 340 Six Pack is a better choice for a drag racer. "Six Pack" is reference to a special intake manifold with 3 x Holley 2-barrel carbs. A pain in the neck to tune. But more powerful than a 4-barrel Holley carb when working properly.
It's on its way for the next drag race via airmail.
The real intake and carbs.

These Johnny Lighting - Thunderjet bodies came in today. All slated to become drag-racers. Oops. Yep. Addicted.
The "Vanishing Point" Challenger was on special for $11, so I bought two. One for vanishing point proxy racer for each continent.
Are the wheels from the pullback chassis useful for slot cars?
