Most are designed for the original ‘skinny’ tires to fit inside. The later Tuff Ones and all the modern AutoWorld and Johnny Lightning T-Jets have the wider wheels which need clearance on the wheel wells. Each listing very handily has a note whether the body will fit a Tuff Ones chassis or not.

Check out the wheels too. I really like the Vincent Wheels - made in Germany - and some of of my drag cars have them...

   

I am pretty sure those are the ‘D’ size on the back with Tyco front tyres (Jel Claws do a soft tyre that works well). I will check and list the part numbers. Andrew Tedesco at Slots n Stuff has a much wider selection of the Vincent wheels in North America with dozens of styles and all five widths.

I like the fact that the seller listed which bodies fit Tuff Ones. Took out all the gues work. The 2-bodies shown and a bunch more easily fit Tuff Ones.

Sharp looking cars you got there. The green Charger really pops. One of my favorite colours.

Yes, those are the Vincent 'D' rims fitted with the Jel Claws ST2060-F tires for Tomy Super-G+ front wheels. The AFX SuperTires and 'Narrow' Viper tires also fit the 'D' hubs for a bit more height...

   

The Vincent tires are a pretty hard compound - ideal for the front wheels.

These are injection moulded wheels, so not the perfect high-performance racing item... but they look great and are an improvement over the stock wheels.

Shipping to Canada isn't free anymore. It's a $4 flat rate. So I ordered 3-bodies, 2-sets of Vincent wheels, and matching front tires to make the $4 well spent.

I bought 2-Corvairs, and one 1962 Chevy II Nova wagon. Why the wagon? It was the car we had when I was born. I remember rolling around in the back and laughing my head off as a little kid. Who needed seat belts back then?

   
   

Our wagon had medium blue metallic paint. This one will match as best as I can.

I was immediately transported to the back seat of our '62  seafoam green Belair, with a grumpy Pekinese and scowling Siamese cat; all the way from Dallas to Seattle and years beyond!

Hi Bill.
My parents told me I cried like a 3-year old baby when my father traded the wagon for a regular 4-door 64 Chevelle. Probably because I was 3-years old at the time. 

I had just lost my "play space" in the back. Life from a babies point of view is totally unfair.

Now that I have my own 62 Chevy II wagon on the way. I get my "play space" back.

Well, I didnt want to foul the carpet here regarding my experiences with 3R. Grandma's wisdom came to mind, as I had nothing pleasant to say. The upshot is that you found a great vendor of splendid toys, got what you wanted, and got it shipped. Considering that there are those that consider the great White North to be another continent comprised of thieves. Jeez Louise!

Down on the lower subcontinent, the better auto parts stores stock touch up paint in small quantitys. Often, just what you are looking for. Of course they are thickly formulated for brush touch of nicks and diggies, so one simply adjust the viscosity for the airbrush. Kinda nifty, that it comes as a concentrate for folks with spray rigs.



Both GM colors. Dark metallic green and Federal Yellow. Decanted, reduced and strained, then sprayed as normal. I was very overjoyed with the outcome.

The bonus is that it's affordable, you dont have to buy 16 ounces of it to paint one tiny car, and it comes in all the rainbow.

Interesting thought to use automotive touch-up paint and thin it down. The choice of colours is very broad.

I do have an air gun. I've only used it for water based paints for RC aircraft. It's time to give it a new lease on life.

This just popped up in the newspaper classifieds as new, cars tested. We can't find Micro Scalex sets here in Toronto at all. Very rare find.

Should I jump on this set for the cars? Thanks in advance.
