Morning all
Does anyone know what size the plastic/rubber is on Scalextric cars front axles?
It’s the stuff that stops the wheels flopping around side to side in the older cars
Cheers

You men the axle holders?
Those differ from car to car.
You need a micrometer to measure them.

Assuming you mean the two bits that look like a Biro tube inner which slip over the axle and prevent it sliding about:
Measurements taken from my C25 Ferrari 312B2 - external diameter 4.6mm, internal diameter 2.3mm, length 12.1mm. Wouldn't guarantee that they are the same on other F1 cars of the era though, a lot of component variety back then.
Modern Biro tube inners are too small if you were thinking of using them as replacements.

Check the axle spacers and stopper section at your favourite online seller, there is a range of different size plastic or metal axle spacers that will do the job, just measure what you need.
Or you can use axle stoppers.

Hello Rob, do you mean the bit like below? Its a push-fit on the axle and the axle diameter is 3/32 of an inch.

Thanks for all the replies
That’s the stuff in the pic, thanks Leo
Some tubing ordered to replace all the stuff that’s disintegrated on my old cars
Cheers
