The year’s nearly gone, its week 51

This week we report on new cars from Scalextric, Avant Slot, TTS, Sideways, NSR, Hobbyclassic and Racing Replicas. We also have the latest events and publications, plus a 3D printable tool rack.

• Alpine A110 Street Version TTS have announced the release of their 1/24 scale Alpine A110 Street Version. Expected in January, the car comes with an aluminium chassis and an anglewinder motor. The Alpine will also be available as a white kit.

• Mr Bean Mini Scalextric have released the Mr Bean Mini. The model is based on the ‘Do-It-Yourself’ episode, which features Mr Bean transporting a new armchair on the roof of his Mini.

• Sideways BMW 3.5 CSL Sideways have posted some 3D renderings of two versions of their forthcoming BMW 3.5 CSL Group 5. Release dates are unknown at the moment, but we’ll keep you updated.

• Nation Colour Project Hobbyclassic have now released a third batch of Bugatti T59s in the Nation Colour Project. The cars come in the national racing colours of France, Poland, Argentina, Sweden and Monaco. There are just six more cars to come.

• Racing Replicas AC Cobra Pete Shepherd has built this lovely AC Cobra, which represents a typical SCCA club racer. More importantly, the Cobra is expected to be made available as a kit in the future.

• Avant Slot Alpine A310 Avant Slot have posted three new livery designs for the Alpine A310; Michelle Mouton, Marie Claire Beaumont and “33” Export. More details as and when we get them.

• Back to the Future III From the third and final instalment of the hit ‘Back To The Future’ film series, Scalextric’s new DeLorean is available now.

• NSR Formula 22 NSR have announced another series of generic Formula One cars. Based on the 2022 F1 cars, test cars are expected in March 2023.

• Magazines ePilot’s excellent magazines thread keeps us up to date with the latest publication. Recent additions include the latest issues of DRS Magazine, Slot, Model Car Racing, Trainini, and the S-Scale Resource.

3D Printing

• Tool Rack If you get bored of trying to find your tools on your bench, then why not print off this nifty tool rack? The rack has a variety of cut outs to take all the tools you’ll need when dabbling with slot cars.
