Carrera is a long standing slot car manufacturer, producing cars and track in 1/24, 1/32 and 1/43 scales.

Hermann Neuhierl took over the tin toy manufacturer in 1956 after the death of his father, and in 1963 launched Carrera Universal, a 1/32 scale slot track system, with cars and accessories. Carrera 124, a 1/24 scale system was introduced in 1967, a short lived 1/60 scale system began production in 1976, and Carrera Go!!! a 1/43 scale system was introduced in 2001.
