Hi Folks,
I have the Scaleauto SC-5040 tire truer. (Photo below for reference)  It has served me well over the years, but I would like to move away from the sanding drums to an abrasive metal drum. Does anyone know if the SC-5073B abrasive drum intended for the "newer" SC-5072 EVO 2 truer fits the older one.  For reference, the shaft in the 5040 is 5mm and the drum diameter with abrasive mounted is ~34mm.

Hello Brian,

That might be best answered by Scaleauto directly, or one of their distributors. It's in the retailers interest to sell you the right part. They'll take it back if they were wrong.

Sales people work for free until they make a sale. I should know. I was in sales at one time.

I've reached out to a distributor but haven't heard back, thus the question here.  These machines have both been out of manufacture for some time so was hoping someone in the larger community might know.

I hadn't thought to reach out directly to Scalauto due to the age of the machines, but will give it a shot and see what happens.
