Here’s an AABodies Lotus 19 in a spurious guise! I have two more body shells. These are so tiny. I used one of those open can ‘red’ motors in sidewinder configuration. It has LED tail lights and a Slottechnik digital chip. The wheels are from Pendleslot. The chassis is 1/16” marine ply. It has a magnet on it. It runs very nice! Did I say how tiny it is?
Great job ARUP ,................I built one many years ago using a much modified original Strombecker body. It was done to represent Stirlings' car from Mosport 1961.
In keeping with the "19's" early 60's vintage, I built the chassis along the lines of what was fairly common in the slot clubs of the early 60's
Cheers

The chassis use a Strombecker "Scuttler" open frame motor loosely bolted to a brass pan,.....the hot ticket in the day.
A "period correct" Crown has long since been installed.......
Thanks for the comments and pictures! I'll weigh the car then get pics of the chassis. I'd like to build Dan Gurney's car which was the first car to win a race under 'electric power'! I'd like to build Moss' minty green car, too, like yours!
Great ‘action’ photos! Keep ‘em comin’! It’s interesting the pictures of the red LED brake lights on my 19 don’t look red. They are very red in ‘real life’. Does anyone know where to get Lotus 11 body shells? I’d love to build some of those and would like to cover one in shiney polished foil.
