The second running of the WHO Birkett Relay is coming up soon on Saturday 12 October.
This year it becomes a six-hour relay race, just like the real event at Silverstone organised by the 750 Motor Club. Here's a video overview of the real event...
We do simplify things by choosing six classes of WHO Digital racing cars that each of the six teams must run...
These can be run in any order, but must complete a full 'hour' race. We set up six separate 58 minute races in RCS64 with a two minute turnaround when each team's new car is placed exactly on the same spot as the previous car stopped.
We also run a Scratch Race and a Handicap Race. This is how the extra laps are awarded this year...
And we will be running on one of Simon's track layouts this year, an evolution of his design for our August test night...
Teams from 2023 have been given first dibs for a spot on the grid this year. Team names and captains will be announced soon. Extra drivers will be allocated on the day.
Entry is £6 for adults and £4 for under-16s. We do ask that all racers aged 13 and under bring a responsible adult with them.
