Is there such a thing as a look-up table that lists different slot car manufacturers in 1/32 scale and the axle dia. and wheel and gear grub screw specs they use?
Having bought a few used slots at Gaydon there are some missing wheel, gear and chassis (front axle height) grub screws that need replacing as well as the odd body mounting or chassis adjustment screw.
Varying magnet size/strengths are not an issue as they'll be run magless.
Makes are:
Carrera - I think this has been fitted with NSR alloy rear wheels and tyres - but on a standard knurled axle! A plain replacement axle is required.
Ninco 'Lightning'
ScaleAuto
Scalextric/Hornby (Why are some marked Scalextric and others Hornby? Is there a difference?)
Vanquish/MG
I already had Fly, Monogram, Revell and SCX cars which need similar info.
Is there a single replacement guide that would fit them all (or the majority) and be suitable for Scalextric Sport track?

No such thing as far as I know Doug, you usually have to trawl the manufacturers' websites for information. Ask on here about specific cars as you come to them or contact Sean at Pendles, he is a mine of information on spares. Don't think you will find a universal guide either although some do fit several makes.

Would it be a good 'Forum Project' then?
Several 'someones' might be able to pool knowledge?
Something like this?
Plenty more makes to add. How about more parts to spec'?

I made this table up a few years ago and hung it above my track. A database as you suggest would be great to have although best to have any data submitted corroborated rather than a single source.
I would suggest use of metric measurements even though some are based upon imperial legacy (ie Slot.It is the 3/32 inch size to match Hornby/Scalextric).
Its going to take a long time and need a co-ordinator, ideally someone who works for a big dealer and therefore has access to card of varied brands.
Yes, good idea for a forum project, Leo

Is Scalextric at 2.35mm a mis-key then?
Interesting, anyway, as NSR sell 3/32 axles suitable for Scalextric, Ninco and Fly, as well as their own cars.

I didn't mean to imply that the above was an absolute/definitive starting list, more just a rough example - ahem...
Have changed the image to indicate its a "draft" release.
Lets not get into the pedantics of whether 2.38mm is different from 2.35mm. This was what I measured with my uncalibrated Clarke digital measure and was before Hornby started to knurl the axle ends and middles.

Ah, OK!
I'm sort of new to modern 1/32.
I've made a start so I'll post up my revised s/s at some point.
Hopefully others can chip in?
