BRM 1/24 OPEN COMP 6TH OCTOBER FLBT

We are hosting an open competition at our venue in Marlbrough,as above. This will follow the format as run by Rockingham and their rules last year with 2 tracks to race on. You can drive different cars in each heat but for the finals they must have competed in the heats. The main track will be our wood track as shown at Gaydon and the other Policar.
Eligible cars will be minis,
Opel
Escort
Simca 1000
Nsu tt
Fiat Abarth
Renault Alpine
Abarth A112
Alfa Gta
Bmw 2002
Renault R8
VW Sirocco

Rules are being formalised and will be posted shortly and are essentially the same as BRM's and Rockinghams and very simple

Further information as to address etc is on the website.

Parking is in the High Street and is about 10 mins away depending on how fast you run. On Sunday it is normally quiet and free! You can drop off your gear/cars at the hall.
We aim to start at 10am .Practice available from 9am.

The format will consist of back to back racing with 6 min heats.  Finals will be 6 or 4 min depending on numbers.

UPDATE  6th October
With a month to go to this event a short reminder. For those that have not been to our club , FREE parking is in Marlborough High Street a short distance from St Mary’s Hall.

We have cooking facilities plus coffee, tea etc

We aim to start at 10.30 with practice from 9.00am. Heats will consist of back to back 6 minute heats and finals on 2 tracks. As to cars the Datsun 240 has been added. A reminder to the rules are that ESSENTIALLY ALL CARS MUST HAVE AS SUPPLIED BY BRM OR TTS  ,STANDARD MOTORS,WHEELS AND TYRES,GEAR AND PINION. MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED ONLY ARE THE INCLUSION OF WEIGHT and GLUING TYRES TO RIMS

Cost will be 10.00 pounds per person. 

Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 drivers
