Dodgy track
Hi, I love Scalextric but always, I have some niggerling problems. Could you please help me? I have used a track plan and power is reducing on a number of pieces around the track, some of them make the car stop and it only gets going again halfway round the rest of the track. What should I do?
Thanks a lot.

Greetings,
It sounds like conductivity issues between the track connections. You should be able to hold the cars on the track with the rear wheels off the track. Then hold the throttle down and move the car accross the track. You'll hear the revs drop when you pass a bad track connection. You need to separate the tracks and clean the tabs that touch each other from piece to piece. Some people install power taps around/under the track. Yet others install copper tape over the rails to keep the voltage maxed throughout. You can't disassemble a track once it's taped up.
Cheers,
Ken

As Ken has said, it's most likely a problem with the connections.
As well as cleaning the connectors you can also tighten them up by pushing up the metal lugs on the underside of the track.
