Planning on building a wooden digital slotcar track. Space is 17 feet x 11 feet.
Attached is my idea with a alternative in red.
Looking to get some thoughts and/or ideas from the more experienced. Track theme is 50s 60s early 70s. Roen/Spa setting.
Thanks

Looks interesting. Areas or cut-outs in the track table might be handy for marshalling. Just a thought.

Yep I agree with KensRedZed, for marshalling and adding scenery you will want to be able to easily reach all areas.

Entry to the tunnel would be better kept straight, minimising the chances of a car deslotting in the tunnel.

Our crossover is on a curve and the cause of many a tragic scene and lead loss on our track!

I applaude you for drawing your ideas by eye and hand...well done, sir.
Think of track flow...some of those squiggles might be unnecessary.
Carry on.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking about leaving the middle open for access. That's a good idea. Maybe no hairpin. I can straighten out some of the esses. But I am trying to avoid just straights except for the pit straight.
Straight into the tunnel too.
