Very sadly John is no longer with us, and he also sadly destroyed all the moulds he made for the great cars and scenery parts he designed. Have put this in here for the exact reason of showing his building skills.

Absolutely exquisite work!
I read/see this often that moulds get destroyed and I am not too sure why... I guess to protect their work but it does mean that future generations are robbed of it.
Couldn't one simply lock them away with a time-lock of say 10 years or something?

Thanks Abie for showing and sharing.
If you have seen a "John Bacon" body in the raw then you would be surprised by their crudeness compared to some of todays resins.
He was however a visionary of his time...not to mention a hugely clever model maker.
Destroying moulds is an odd thing to do since they can be easily remade if the original shell is still present. Moulds begin to deteriorate as soon as you start using them and do have a life. Some are longer than others usually due to the shape of what is being cast.
