This tutorial is very useful, when you have a 3D file that's too thin...or too thick you can modify it with the 'Displace' tool.

'Displace' adds or subtracts thickness, the default 'strength' is 1.000 which is 100% increase in thickness.
0.000 'strength' would be no change, -0.100 would be 10% thinner and 0.100 would be 10% thicker.

Here's the
Blender Thickening Tool Tutorial

Just getting into Blender at the moment.
What a piece of kit. It's astonishing for free software.

I use it very little, maybe I should get to know it better.

Well, I'm no Blender expert, but I thought I'd try it out because I'm away from home and haven't got my usual 3d software available.
It's taking a bit of getting used to, to put it mildly, and I should stress that my primary interest is in presentation drawings, not printing.
But it does look fantastic, and easily matches some very expensive software. That's quite an achievement for free software. Very impressive, but not necessarily intuitive to use.

		Very cool high tech stuff!
You sure picked a rare bird for a demo. I had to scower the planet for these Corvairs. It gives hope to rare slot car bodies.

Me too Kev. I have seen several pics of the blue one on Google Images. It looks like someone stuck F1 rear tires on a Corvair. Sweet!

My plan is to modify the 3D file to add arches like the blue one.
