The July 2021 edition of Slot Car Magazine has just been published. The printed magazine is currently on its way from the printers to Pendle Slot Racing – and the ebook is available at Lulu here. There are two competitions this time - one for an SRC Porsche 914, the other for the first two volumes of Adrian Norman's Ultimate Guide.
Here are the contents for issue #62...
- A Hannu Mikkola Tribute by Hub Habets. We never cease to be amazed at the depth of Hub’s Rally collection. Here he recounts the history of a legend via slot cars.
- Thoroughbred Muscle by Tony Di Pastena. The Scalextric and Carrera Mustangs sally forth into battle. Tony Di Pastena is on hand to ensure fair play.
- Policar / Slot.it latest by Ric Woods. Some fresh examples of Italian magic from the 1970s – The Ferrari 312B2 of Regazzoni and Alfa 33/3 Nastasi/Merzario.
- The Ultimate Guide by Ric Woods. Adrian Norman has grappled with the enormous history that Scalextric has produced... by producing 10 collectable volumes.
- HO Pro Stock by Andy Player. It’s Rat Pack vs California Flash burning up the HO track on Andy’s home track.
- Go Your Own Way by Marc Abbott. What? Another generic F1?! We are awash with single-seater, never-had-it-so-goodness. Bring on the Scaleauto cars... we can’t wait!
- The Long and Winding Road by Woods/Abbott. SRC Toyota TS050 Hybrid LMP1. It took Toyota a while, but they finally won Le Mans. Ric checks out the history, whilst Marc builds.
- Going Round The Benz by Ric Woods. The RevoSlot 1997 Mercedes CLK GTR has hit the shelves at your local slot car dealer... and it looks the business.
- The First and the Last by Brett Jürmann. Brett recounts the first Le Mans Ferrari win – and modifies Ninco’s “Little Boat” to boot!
- Bastos by Andy Player. Andy has always dreamt of owning an American muscle car... and now he gets to drive one: Scalextric’s latest Camaro Z28.
- Slot Car Racing by Tony Di Pastena. Just what the doctor ordered – Tony gets some good medicine with an interview with Dr Hugh Palmer.
- The World Of Dilworth. Demolition Man at West Hamley – It’ll all end in tears ya know!
