This is the start of what will be a complex build. As I choose to use an original 60s chassis and motor.
I have used the picture of this car as an avatar in the past as I have wanted this car for a long time. However it is expensive, and now that I have it, I have mixed feelings on the value. In effect I better do a good job ??
Stay tuned ?

So adventure continues.
I have sanded and oriented the body. Thankfully did not get any of those irritating spots where the paint will not adhere.
Looked at the kit and it had some really nice looking tyres. But way too hard. So I recast them.
They are HUGE. Look at kit pic above and it doesn’t look too bad. But loot at this:
Looks like a tractor!!!!
I know that I can use my hudy to reduce size. But.....?
What’s your opinion?

Reduce the track and get them under the arches and they wouldn't looks so bad!

A nice Tractor though..
Hi Anthony, while you could reduce the tyre diameter a touch, I think the body just sits a bit high on the chassis ........the tops of both tyres should be just touching/hidden by the wheel arches,....that said , your choice of motor does make this difficult.
To be honest, the 612 is so gorgeous , if it were mine, I would re think the chassis/motor
Cheers
