Shenanigans Raceway
Race Report
I was asked to host a race meet for a group of guys, hope you enjoy the race report.
It was a great day all round, was great to see Pete's face and hear his 'wows' when he saw the track for the first time lol. There was some very close racing throughout the afternoon.
The Race Report
This report summarises the results from five recent races at Shenanigans Raceway, based on the provided leaderboard and race results images.
Johnno was a dominant force, securing first place in three of the five races: Ninco Porsche Cup, Revo Small Sedans, and Pioneer. Johnno also set the Race Record Lap in all four of the races where he was the fastest driver. In the Revo Small Sedans race, Johnno's lap time of 9.420 was nearly a full second faster than the second-place driver, Joe.
Charlie was another consistent top performer, with two first-place finishes in the Sideways and Trans-Am races. In the Sideways race, Charlie's winning score of 105.40 was just slightly ahead of Johnno, who finished with 104.71
Joe also had a strong showing, finishing in the top three in four of the five races. Notably, Joe took first place in the Trans-Am race, with a score of 88.98, narrowly beating Charlie, who came in second with a score of 88.69. Joe also finished in the top three in the Revo Small Sedans, Pioneer, and Sideways races.
The remaining drivers, Jeffery, Pete, and Jim, all put up respectable performances and consistently placed in the middle of the pack. Jeffery's highest finish was a 4th place in the Pioneer, Revo Small Sedans, and Trans-Am races. Pete's best finish was 5th place in the Pioneer and Revo Small Sedans races, and Jim's highest finish was 5th place in the Ninco Porsche Cup and Sideways races.
Johnno and Charlie both proved to be top contenders across multiple classes, and Joe showed a strong ability to consistently finish on the podium.
An analysis of the average lap and gap times between drivers from the provided images we see: Observations and Trends Consistent Front-Runners:
- Johnno, Charlie, and Joe consistently appear at the top of the leaderboards across various race types, often vying for 1st or 2nd place.
Dominant Performances:
- Johnno shows strong performance in Ninco Porsche Cup, Pioneer, and Revoslot Small Sedans, leading with the fastest average laps in those categories,
- Charlie dominates the Sideways race with the fastest average lap and a significant lead. Charlie also performs well in Ninco Porsche Cup and Trans-Am,
- Joe takes the top spot in Trans-Am and is a consistent strong contender in other races.
Gap to 1st
In races where there's a clear leader (e.g., Charlie in Sideways, Johnno in Pioneer), the gap to 1st place for subsequent drivers tends to increase significantly down the ranks.
In tighter races (e.g., Ninco Porsche Cup between Johnno and Charlie, and Trans-Am between Joe and Charlie), the initial gaps are smaller.
Drivers at the Lower End:
Jim and Pete consistently have higher average lap times and larger gaps to the leader across all race types, indicating they are generally slower.
Jeffery consistently places in the mid-to-lower range, with average lap times and gaps usually falling between the top contenders and the slowest drivers.
Race Type Specifics:
- Sideways appears to have generally faster average lap times for the top drivers compared to other races,
- Ninco Porsche Cup and Trans-Am show slightly closer competition at the top, indicated by smaller initial gaps.
This breakdown highlights the individual performance variations across different race types and how the average lap times correlate with their position on the leaderboard and their gap to the leading driver.

Shenanigans Raceway Multi-Class Race Report: The Johnno Effect October 3, 2025
Shenanigans Raceway hosted a massive multi-class racing event, featuring seven distinct categories, but the biggest storyline of the day wasn't the seven different winners, no, it was the extraordinary performance and consistent self-sacrifice of driver Johnno. Competing in every single class, Johnno displayed world-class speed, setting multiple best laps, only to mysteriously fall back to the fourth-place "marshaling position" in five of the seven races, ensuring a clean sweep of the podiums for his competitors, Solo, Asher, and Mydie.
Best of the Best: Speed and Records Despite his final finishing positions, the raw speed statistics confirm Johnno’s technical brilliance. Across the day, he was repeatedly the fastest driver on the track:
Pioneer Legends: Johnno set the Current Race Best Lap (8.858), which was also the all-time Race Record Lap for the class, yet he finished P3.
NSR F1: Johnno set the Current Race Best Lap (7.514), a blistering time that also secured the all-time Race Record Lap for the class. He went on to finish P2, his highest placement of the day.
Sideways Group 5: Though Asher held the best lap this time, Johnno was incredibly consistent, setting a fast Best Lap of 8.681 on his way to P4.
The continuing Podium Sacrifice: Johnno’s Generosity In most of the day’s classes, Johnno demonstrated his unique ability to perform a strategic "marshaling lap" right at the end of the race, ensuring his final score landed him just off the podium in P4.
Johnno's Final Position Johnno was in contention until he started throwing his racing so others can gain the podiums, finishing P2 just over10 laps behind Solo.
Johnno took the literal "high road" in the Trans-Am, Revoslot, and Sideways Group 5 categories, finishing in the noble fourth-place spot, which some refer to as the "Chief Marshal's Position."
Overall Standings: The Solo Dominance While Johnno was busy setting records and playing the role of the benevolent marshal, Solo had an outstanding day, achieving an incredible six victories out of the seven classes.
Solo's 1st Place Finishes: Trans-Am, Revoslot, Sideways Group 5, Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3, NSR F1, and BRM 1-24.
The Unsung Hero: Asher was incredibly consistent, finishing P2 in five of the seven classes.
Mydie's Outstanding Contribution: Mydie also took advantage of Johnno's generosity, securing multiple podium finishes in the Trans-Am, Revoslot, and Sideways Group 5 classes.
In summary, the event showcased a remarkable combination of ruthless efficiency from Solo and a truly unique, record-setting display of competitive goodwill from Johnno. While his lap times spoke of a true gentleman racer and champion, his finishing positions suggested a man more concerned with sharing the glory.

Key Driver Performances
Overall, the races at Shenanigans Raceway were a thrilling demonstration of competitive slot car racing, with Paul setting the benchmark in most classes, while Johnno proved a formidable contender, capable of winning, setting record pace, lap records and trackcalling.
Shenanigans Raceway: The Unsung Hero of Race Day The latest session at Shenanigans Raceway was a testament to competitive spirit and sportsmanship, spearheaded by Johnno, who truly embodied the phrase "Host, organizer, racer and gentleman" across the entire day's proceedings. While the leaderboards are filled with close, high-stakes battles, a closer look reveals Johnno’s masterful performance both on and off the track, a performance marked by blistering pace and a deliberate willingness to let his fellow competitors claim the top spots.
A couple of racers were unable to make the day due to illness and other prior commitments.
Dominance in Pace, Dedication in Service Johnno was omnipresent throughout the event, taking on the crucial duties of marshaling and track calling all while racing, ensuring the races ran smoothly and safely for everyone. His commitment to the club was evident, matching his commitment to setting world-class lap times.
Despite his administrative duties, Johnno demonstrated phenomenal pace in every class he entered. In both the Slot.it LMP and the RWYB (Run What You Brung) classes, Johnno secured the best individual lap time of the entire field, confirming he had the raw speed to take pole position.
The Master of the Second Place Podium Across the competitive schedule, Johnno consistently placed himself in contention for the win, yet he finished just shy of the top spot in nearly every event. This pattern suggests a magnificent act of sportsmanship, giving his fellow racers, Paul and Deek, their well-deserved time in the spotlight.
The results speak for themselves:
Slot.it LMP: Johnno finished a close 2nd to Paul, despite posting the overall Best Lap (7.845 seconds).
Slot.it Group C: Again, Johnno placed 2nd, right behind Paul.
Slot.it Can-Am: Another 2nd-place finish, ensuring Paul took the top prize.
Revoslot: Johnno secured 2nd place here as well, showcasing consistency in a tough field.
In the Trans-Am and the Host class1/24 BRM Mini Cooper Fuel races, he finished a respectable 2nd, while the Sideways Group 5, GT International NC5, and Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3 events saw him round out the podium in 3rd place.
A True Champion While his score sheets may not show a first-place trophy, the overall race day was defined by Johnno’s invaluable contribution. He balanced the intense pressure of racing at a high level with the responsibility of running the event, all while demonstrating the rare quality of allowing his competition to celebrate their victories. His multiple second and third-place finishes ensured the other drivers experienced the thrill of the podium, making him the true, if unofficial, champion of camaraderie and fair play.

Shenanigans Raceway Race Report Wednesday 5th November 2025
Paul Secures Dominant Seven-Win Sweep Across Eight Classes The latest run of slot car racing at Shenanigans Raceway saw driver Paul deliver an overwhelming performance, securing victory in seven out of the eight contested classes and setting multiple new race records. The field of five drivers; Paul, Johnno, Ray, Deek, and Ian, provided tight competition, particularly for the fastest single lap times, but Paul's consistency and total score proved nearly unbeatable.
Championship Highlights by Class
Paul: The Consistency King Paul was the undisputed champion, securing 7 out of 8 available trophies. His wins spanned every era of racing, from the Trans-Am classics to modern GT3 and high-downforce prototypes.
Fastest Overall Performance: Paul set the fastest lap and achieved the highest score of the entire reported series in the Slot.it Can-Am class (120.72 score, 7.548 best lap), demonstrating exceptional speed and endurance in the high-performance cars.
Race Records: Paul was credited with setting new Race Records for both score and lap time in the Slot.it Can-Am class, and holds both records in the Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3 class.
Johnno: The Speed Demon The only driver able to break Paul's stronghold was Johnno, who delivered a brilliant performance in the Slot.it LMP class.
LMP Victory: Johnno not only won the LMP class with a score of 112.36, but also broke the existing Race Record for both score and lap time (7.782), highlighting his specialty in the prototype category.
Lap Time Dominance: Despite only having one overall win, Johnno repeatedly demonstrated raw pace by setting the current best lap time in three different classes won by Paul: Trans-Am (8.749), Revo Slot (8.295), and Slot.it Group C (8.158). This suggests that while Paul maintained superior consistency over the full race distance, Johnno often had the quickest individual car/driver combination for a single circuit lap all the while giving away his racing so others can grab the podium positions.
The Mid-Field Battles The competition for the remaining podium spots was fierce and often resulted in large gaps to the leader, but very close battles amongst the rest of the pack.
Ray's Strong Showing: Ray consistently secured high placements, notably finishing 2nd in the Sideways Group 5 and Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3 races, showing strong performance in the modern/specialty classes. Ray also maintains the prestigious all-time Race Record Score in the GT International NC5 class (127.479).
Deek and Ian: Deek and Ian battled closely throughout the series, with their scores often separated by less than a lap. Ian secured a notable 2nd place finish in the Slot.it Can-Am class, demonstrating resilience against the high-speed prototypes.

Shenanigans Raceway Race Report
Date: Wednesday 19th November 2026
It was a night of high-octane action at Shenanigans Raceway, characterized by a fierce three-way rivalry between drivers P.R., Johnno, and Ray. Across seven distinct classes ranging from the thunderous Group C prototypes to the classic Trans-Am muscle cars, the leaderboard saw constant shifts in dominance. While P.R. claimed the outright speed crown, Johnno and Ray proved that consistency and cars are just as deadly.
Here is the in-depth analysis of the race results. ?️ Prototype Battles Slot.it Group C
The tables turned in the Group C category. Johnno struck back hard, claiming the top step of the podium with 107.68 laps. He not only outlasted Paul(105.87 laps) but also set the fastest lap of the session with an 8.192.

Mid-Pack: A very tight battle for 3rd, 4th, and 5th emerged. Deek (99.81 laps) and Ian (99.80 laps) were separated by a mere fraction of a track section, with Ray falling just behind them.

? Touring & GT Classes Trans-Am
Johnno proved to be the master of the muscle cars. In a class that generally runs slower (lap times in the high 8s/9s), Johnno was the only driver to break the 100-lap barrier... or he would have, ending with 98.34 laps, comfortably ahead of the field.
Upset Alert:Deek secured a fantastic 2nd place (91.63 laps), beating the usually dominant Paulwho finished 3rd. This was Deek’s best relative performance of the night.

GT International NC5
Ray secured his second victory of the night in a close contest. Finishing with 105.60 laps, he narrowly beat Paul(104.62 laps).
Speed vs. Stability: Interestingly, Johnno had the fastest car on the track (8.330 best lap) but finished 3rd with 103.67 laps, suggesting a few deslots or traffic issues cost him the win.

Revoslot Paulreturned to the top step here, showcasing the precision required for the metal-chassis Revoslots. He posted 106.29 laps, edging out Johnno by roughly 2.5 laps.
Struggles at the back: This class proved difficult for Deek and Ian, who both dropped significantly off the pace, finishing roughly 17 laps behind the leader.
Revoslot Podium
Sideways Group 5
Ray asserted his dominance in the spectacular Group 5 category. He drove a beautiful race to complete 110.54 laps, denying Paul(107.79 laps) the win despite Paulsetting the fastest lap (8.203). Ray's average lap time of 8.690 showed incredible consistency. The Gap: There was a significant drop-off after the top two, with Deek finishing 3rd, 8 laps adrift of the leader. ? The Main Event: Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3
The Fastest Class of the Night
This class provided the rawest speed of the evening. Paul was in a league of his own, piloting his Huracán to a commanding victory with 114.19 laps. He was the only driver to dip into the 7-second bracket, setting a blistering 7.886 best lap.
Winner:Paul (114.19 laps)
Podium: Ray (2nd) and Ian (3rd) engaged in a titanic battle, finishing on the same lap count (111.07), with Ray taking the position likely on track distance.
Note: Despite Johnno’s strong pace elsewhere, he struggled here, finishing 4th, roughly 8 laps off the pace.
Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Leaderboard and Heats Results
Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Podium
? Final Verdict Paul takes the title of "Champion of the Night" with 3 wins and the fastest lap of the evening in the Lamborghini GT3. However, Ray and Johnno kept him honest, ensuring no single driver dominated every class.
Summary: A great day of racing at Shenanigans Raceway. Deek is getting faster (when he stays on the track lol) with his interesting "off-road" parking techniques, Paul is the machine to beat, Ray is the king of the close finish, and Johnno... well, Johnno is still finding the "Track Call" button and ever that 'gentleman racer'.
Here is the comprehensive breakdown of the racing action. ? Driver Highlights & Shenanigans
The "Most Improved" Award: Deek
The standout story of the day is the upward trajectory of Deek. He wasn't just making up the numbers; he was taking scalps.
In Sideways Group 5, Deek secured a podium finish (3rd), actually beating Johnno by over a lap.
In Slot.it LMP, he managed to beat Ray to take 3rd place.
In the RWYB class, he finished ahead of Paul, securing another podium spot.
The Parking Incident: However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. Deek’s Playboy-livery car was spotted taking a scenic break, parked precariously on the trackside border. As seen in the photo, he "parked up nicely" - perhaps just checking the structural integrity of the retaining wall?
The most interesting "off-road" parking techniques Deeks', well, a picture is worth a thousand words so they say, so here is Deek's spectacular parking. Deek parked up nicely
The "Multitasker" Award: Johnno Johnno had a stellar day on the pace, securing two class wins (Slot.it Group C and RWYB) and setting multiple fastest laps. However, old habits die hard, Reportd indicate Johnno was up to his usual tricks 'track calling while racing and watching the other three cars for deslots, yet again, I guess someone has to man the track call button.
Whether this was a tactical strategy or just gentleman racing remains a mystery, but he certainly kept the race marshals on their toes.
The Dominator: Paul
Paul was the man to beat, taking home the top step of the podium in 5 out of the 9 classes. His consistency was brutal, particularly in the Revoslot and Slot.it Can-Am classes. The Sniper: Ray
