Hello Brumos,

I just got back from being away for a while. First order of business was to try the new Corvette.

The first test was on a private track 160' feet long. We don't have a class of car with an 18k slimline motor to compare it to. It did get a chance to stretch it's long legs. The Corvette was still picking up speed at the end of the longest straight. No shortage of gear. Everyone that saw and tried it, loved it. It's sitting on the left side of the monster track below.

After that I went to another friend that also has private track (1/24) just over 100' feet long. He happens to have the 1/32 Ninco Corvette.

My humble apologies that I'm not an experienced reviewer. I'm just a happy customer. The tests were on routed tracks with copper rails. Magnets are useless.

It's not a speed demon. It's a very respectable sports car with an 18k slimline motor. Most of the weight of the car is in the chassis. The CG is very low. Lower than a plastic Ninco chassis. It handles like it's on rails. Straight as an arrow with no fishtailing. If you push too hard, it would roll out before sliding out. Maybe it's due to the grippy urethane tires? I still need to play with and adjust the pod a little. The car runs super silent. Like a whisper.

Everyone that tried it, loved it.

Everyone around here is hungry for something new. Nobody cared about the rocker panels. Everyone just wants a new Corvette.

I look forward to tuning the pod and body float down the road.

Here's a link to the urethane white wall tires.

Thank you very kindly for looking,

Ken, I believe everyone, like me appreciates the review…. Glad to hear the car is quiet and smooth. It  sounds like only something that MrSlot Car and his round table of Sirs design to be near perfect.  Hopefully, in Jin the months up coming others will have them in tier hands.  In the meantime, if you’re ok with it, please keep us posted on what you find when turning all those screws.

Thank you very kindly, Brumos.

It won't be months for cars to arrive. Shipments are in transit.

Concerning the chassis nuts on the pod.

The pod has two adjustable blue nuts that allow the chassis to have torsion. If they are tight, the pod is rigid to the chassis. If you back them off. The pod is allowed to flex/twist in the chassis. There are black rubber limiting pads on either side of the pod. These pads dictate the maximum amount of travel/twist.

I'm leaning towards tightening them as it presently has too much grip on a routed track with urethane tires. I would imagine loosening them (allowing torsion) would increase the traction to the rear tires. I might loosen the nuts if I ran on a plastic track with the stock rubber tires.

I was curious about weight. My friend's Ninco C1 weighs 77.33 grams. The Mr SlotCar C1 weighs 81.46 grams.

I'm also going to try tightening the red nuts. They control the body float.

Both the red and blue nuts have silicone washers under them allowing flexibility and movement.

More testing to follow.
