HO scale - but smaller!
#1

Bought this back in March. A Faller HO Kart Racing set. Always fancied one but prices are REALLY silly.

This one turned up on the UK FB Marketplace and sat around for weeks at a very fair - but still high - price with no buyers. Made a cheeky offer and 'Voila'. A bit of a steal but it was mine. (It didn't come with the Pepsi can - that was just to show the  scale!)

Not had it running off the set PSU and controllers yet but the Karts do work wired direct from a PSU, or with power supplied direct to the track.

It came with a Ziplock bag of red and white plastic tyres to finish off the tyre walls with, plus I've had a bit of fun regluing the tyres that came loose in the post. (There were getting on for four, sorry - EIGHT hundred individual 'tyres' with the original set!)

I've also been able to source more NOS Faller (dummy) street/circuit flood lights. (Those in the photo were just one third of the number required.) There's still the pit building to find but the fun's in the chase.  Bigsmile

The photo on the right shows the diminutive size. That's a Tyco US1 Dump Truck on a piece of HO track towards the back!

Super small track. It might appeal to me if the cars were better than go-carts.

I just noticed the wording on the truck and had a good laugh.  There is a big difference between a highway, and a high way.  Bigsmile

It's novelty value Ken - maybe even smaller then the MicroMachines slot racing sets.

Certainly a smaller footprint for the overall track, anyway!
